One of the main reasons international patients consider medical tourism in Turkey is cost. Compared to the UK, EU, or the US, treatment prices in Turkey can appear dramatically lower. But 'lower cost' does not automatically mean 'cheap,' and it certainly does not mean that all prices are comparable in the same way.

These are structural factors, not signs of lower quality. Many Turkish hospitals are modern, accredited, and staffed by well-trained physicians. Cost differences are primarily economic rather than clinical.

However, significant variation exists within Turkey itself. A Tier 1 hospital in Istanbul operating under international accreditation will price its services very differently from a small clinic competing primarily on cost.
